Ghosts of Movement

This series explores the bodies and biomechanics of several animals. Below are works examining the movements of healthy and unhealthy dogs and horses.

Media: Black paper and chalk. 

This series explored the role of anthrporphic animals within stories and media, from Beatrix Potter’s Miss Moppet to the alluring Jessica Rabbit. Animals have often been framed and used to convey morals, and tell stories, many of which are often violent and gruesome. This series warps, and reimagines these characters, using collages that include magazine cuttings, tissues, water and hair to create ephemeral and often jarring versions of them.
